Traditional Design with a Modern Twist

Urban Country Chair Design No. 2 has a more traditional base design with a unique modern twist. We were looking for an inviting, open look without sacrificing comfort. This chair’s combination of the Regency era-inspired lines with mid-century modern angles results in a traditional-looking chair with a contemporary feel.

Using the bentwood technique, we designed this oak chair that starts at the bottom with turned legs and has a generous, square seat with the back and arms flaring out at the top. The result is a chair that invites you to sit in it. This comfortable chair can be used anywhere—around the country kitchen table, dining or sunroom, or as an occasional chair in the bedroom, hall, or living room. Seating is available in splint or rush. Custom stain finishes are also available.
